Sports News Blog Sample News 1 Haryana students learning adventure sports in Manali: Jul 17, 2007 Manali: Over seventy students from different parts of Haryana are learning basics of adventure-sports in Manali as part of a week-long camp sponsored by the Haryana government here. The ongoing camp that commenced last week (July 12) here intends to motivate students, especially girls, towards adventure sports. It includes various adventure skills like river-rafting, rock climbing, river crossing and trekking in the picturesque Manali. Organised jointly by the Department of Tourism and Department of Sports, 40 boys and 32 girls are being taught adventure-sports. According to Narendra Sharma, a representative of the Haryana Government's Adventure Cell, the objective is to expose children to different disciplines of adventure-sports.
