OK, gang, time to saddle up your Plymouth, slip on your pedal pushers, don your wig hat, high-heel sneakers and push-up bras and crank up the stereo to 11.
After a 16-year break, the B-52's are back, a bit older but not too much wiser, if the lyrics are any indication. Producer Steve Osborne (New Order, Suede, KT Tunstall), brought on board by Keith Strickland, helps the band build up layer up its patented vocal and instrumental quirkiness while adding his own high tech rhythm loops. The result isn't as innocent or skewed as its past work, but there's plenty here to keep your booty bouncing.
"Pump" brings to mind a sexier, nastier "Love Shack" -- a throbbing beat, a clanging guitar hook from Strickland and Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson delivering their usual frenzied imprecations to party down and get it on. References to phone sex, hard candy and electric luaus keep the camp quotient high, and we're off to a frenetic start.
"Hot Corner" recalls the dives that figured so heavily in the quartet's dissolute youth. Wilson, Pierson and Fred Schneider trade quips about the creatures prowling through the downtown streets and bus stops after dark. Quotes from various '60s and '70s party records give the tune a nostalgic feel, but the backbeat and Strickland's grinding guitar is pure '80s new wave dance mania.

Entertainment News: Arts and Entertainment
Arts and entertainment are like hands in gloves.
But then the question is why after all do we need depending on arts as a separate entity from our life in total for the sake of getting our doze of entertainment?
Arts provide us with the creative pleasure that we are somehow missing in our life otherwise.
Have we ever asked to ourselves why our life is not as creative every moment as any work of art is?
Why is our life not a piece of art every moment as such?
In that case we'll stop depending on the thrill of passive art appreciation, like of the professional B-52's, and be the creator ourselves!
Whatever we do, shall become a piece of art then.
A piece of art is always a thing of beauty.
And a thing of beauty is a joy FOREVER!
