IT was only a promotional photographic shoot, but already the State of Origin juices are flowing. There was no way former Townsville girl and now Gold Coaster Jana Peterson was wearing anything but maroon. The former Miss Indy and ex-Perth beauty Hollie Bowerman are promoting the new Face of Indy competition and Australian Rules fan Hollie was happy to be 'blue' for the shoot. The Face of Indy bikini competition will be held in pubs and clubs on the night of each of rugby league's Origin games, with the winner to be crowned on the night of the third interstate clash, July 2. Is competition good or bad? We want to climb the peak of glory. But why don't we all sit down in the valley; and chat and sing and dance? No, we'll rather have a dance competition or a singing competition or even a piano competition and do all we can to win it as perfectly as possible! We'll do a cheerleading competition, and we'll do a fitness competition to uphold it to its peak! We'll not even leave an engineering competition, a business competition, or a writing competition aside! We will organize all the beauty pageants on earth! And did you ever even dream of a bikini competition in your life before? Is the next thing going to be an underwear competition for men? When did we get bitten by this bug called competition in every damn sphere of our life?
