I am a member of the Pocono Mountain Chapter of Full Gospel Business Men International Fellowship. We meet in Honesdale. Some "Imagine" a world without religion and nothing to live or die for and claim religion has induced more war, killing and hatred in our world than any other single cause. What about atheistic communism which has killed millions also? However, I do apologize for the actions of those who claimed to be Christians throughout history but committed atrocities. People, also known as sinners, have done evil from the beginning when Cane killed his brother Abel. Both Cane and Abel had access to God yet Cane came on his terms and was initially rejected and he became jealous and hateful. Should people abandon the possibility of a personal relationship with God because of what others do? Search the Bible for yourself, you cannot find Jesus Christ teaching his disciples or the masses to kill, lie, cheat or steal in his name. You will find Jesus clearing the Temple because they made his father's house of prayer into a den of thieves. You will find Jesus, the lion and the lamb, returning to bring peace on earth by force, but that is his job alone. In fact, at the Garden of Gethsemane when the religious leaders came to take him by force, St. Peter attacked one of them with a sword; Jesus healed that man and said "Peter put your sword away those who live by the sword will die by the sword!" Then Jesus peaceably went to the cross for us. I am a conservative Republican and I am very concerned about what liberal Democrats embrace as truth and good works. Which is very true! Further he says: "What about atheistic communism which has killed millions also? However, I do apologize for the actions of those who claimed to be Christians throughout history but committed atrocities. People, also known as sinners, have done evil from the beginning when Cane killed his brother Abel." Isn't he trying to pass on the sins of religion on to the 'atheistic communism' in order to save 'his' own skin like a little child does when gets cornered? How do the sins committed by 'atheistic communism' dilute those committed by religion? I am not talking of any particular religion - Christian Religion or Islam for that matter, I am simply talking of religion as such - the very concept of religion on earth.
