Dress for Success
Nothing succeeds like success! So dress for success! I'm not talking about your clothes on your body. Nor am I talking of your degrees and credentials. I'm talking about the personality your mind wears.
In fact your personality is your real attire! Now, what do we mean by personality? And then, what is success? What do we mean when we say someone is more successful than the other? What is the meaning of success? What, in fact, is the definition of success? And then, what is the recipe for success? My friend Demond equates success with self-empowerment. Another friend of mine Dr. Moses Simuyemba has his own views on the meaning of success. I have mine. What are yours? What are you up to in life? What are generally people up to? They are simply after success in life.
And they keep searching for a secret of success, or numerous success secrets all through their life. They always said - hard work is the key to success; but then they only said - nothing succeeds like success. But the two are contradictory to each other! In fact, the whole philosophy of success is a hoax in itself. It doesn't have any roots in the ground. The very concept of success is but a castle in the air! No one knows the road to success or how to dress for success, but everyone seems to have her/his own concept of how to reach the destination. Then there are success-gurus who teach us how to dress for success by sometime 3 Ways to Success, sometime 7 Ways to Success, and sometime 10 Ways to Success. O my God, whom are they fooling? Or they are paving THEIR way to success! But what, after all, IS success?
And how to dress for success? We are here, on this planet, for living our life. Aren't we? But who cares to live? No, we do! But right now, we are busy acquiring sufficient tools to live and a dress for success; that make life safe and comfortable. The earlier the better! We are in a hurry to start living our life. But let me earn enough money first. And let me earn it fast enough. Let me dress for success! I want to start living my life as soon as possible. Success means the number and the quantity as well as the quality of tools I have in order to start living my life. But then after this, what's the way to live; I never learned THIS in my life! How to live! I was so busy learning how to be successful in life that I never got time to learn it; or if it didn't need learning at all, I just forgot it.
Now to re-learn what I unlearned in the pursuit of success all the best years of my life, seems to be an impossible task. I will never be able to learn how to live now. I only know how to dress for success. So let me keep doing the same again what I kept doing all my life - earn more success! I just don't know what else to do. I keep my dress for success ON!
But why, after all, were these tools required in order to start living life in the very first place? Why did I over-spend all my energies in the pursuit of earning more and more and still more success all through my life? Now I am sitting here sucked of all my energy that is the basic tool of life. I have all the money on earth but I cannot digest my food. I have all the lovebirds flocking around but I have lost the warmth of love. I have all the success, all the safety, all the comfort, yes! I lost my health and peace and joy and lost energy, but! Why are we so much after success in our life? Why do we always dress for success and never for loving living? Is it our fear of life or our fear of success itself that makes us run after it? Run after success, and success will start running away from you! Your dream of success gets shattered. Stop running after success, put your dress for success OFF; and you will achieve success more - in fact, much, much more! Why and how? Simply because you will not do, what you do, for success; but you will do it for the love of it! That is what gives the ultimate quality results! The love of doing what you do!
That is what the mantra is and that is what the magic is! There is no tool that guarantees success, if it is not of love! Love is the best dress for success you can ever wear. Do what you love, and love what you do; and the success is yours on earth, whether it is academic success, business success or career success. Though you never feel you got any success since you just did it for love! Hug your love big, give success a fig; and success will all be yours. But that won't matter, since you were already rewarded by the hug of love so big! The success you got is the bonus along though you already lived life big! You no more need any dress for success, and you may live your life as it comes! What else do we want on earth? If anything else, let that be these pieces of the knowledge of love that not gets only life, but also gets big success through imparting an insight into the basic elements of success:
Success in life is a sportsman spirit - the spirit of playing the game, just for the joy of playing the game! But the sports themselves have gone astray from the basic spirit of their own. They are still wearing the same old barbarian dress for success! Success in sports comes from the spirit to win and not from the spirit to play! Have we designed our sports somehow wrong somewhere that the players go bitter when they lose the game? When someone wins, there must be another who lost for the one to win. But then, who wants to lose? Do you? Do you feel things should change in life, on earth? If yes, why sit passive? Let's be in the active vanguard. Let's try to change the world!
