Robbers have hit more than 20 drug stores recently in nine South Florida cities. The latest heist happened early Tuesday at a Walgreen's in North Miami Beach. Walgreens and CVS representatives said this is not a national trend; it's only happening this often in South Florida. Detectives said 24-hour pharmacies are the new 7-Elevens for bad guys -- a spot where they think a gun and mask can make for easy money. Police said they think the same group of robbers is ripping off pharmacy after pharmacy, not for the drugs, but for the cash. "I'm surprised," said pharmacy customer Erica Augustine. "I didn't know they carried a lot of cash in there." "We do worry about our safety when we come in at nighttime," another customer, Glendon England, said. Most of the recent robberies happen at night. Police said the masked men have made off with close to $25,000. Money Blog Comment:
