MELBOURNE -- Australian Open champion Serena Williams has assured fans she is over a failed-romance that led to an anguished blog posting, publishing a new poem on the Internet outlining her dreams and hopes. The outgoing American said she had been shocked at the interest in blog entries she wrote on her official website earlier this month outlining her heartache at putting her faith in a boyfriend then being dumped. "I didn't know it would be that big. [So] many people go on my website, which is fantastic. So many hits. It was like, Oh my God," she said. Williams, 26, said she was "in a melancholy state" when she wrote the entries but felt her blog had been misinterpreted after she received concerned calls from her friends back in the United States. "Apparently I have a heartbreak going on. They're all asking me like, 'Serena, are you okay?'," she said after her first round win over Australia's Jarmila Gajdosova. Romance Blog Comment: Why does Serena need going so sentimental? Let our romance remain natural, and not be a compulsive step to sex. The moment it compulsively goes for that, it immediately starts dying its death by going on diluting itself slowly and gradually. And as it dies down, it turns into a failed romance that proves to be a painful psychological complex for a lifetime. Perhaps Serena's aggressive sex advances only did it to her!
