Family-Blog: Family-Man News Jessica Simpson Finds "Family Man" in Tony Romo : December 3, 2007  It looks like Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are still going strong in their new relationship and aren’t afraid to show it. Simpson and the Dallas Cowboys Quarterback were spotted out together this past weekend at Simpson pal Cacee Cobb’s 30th birthday. The couple spent a portion of the night tucked away in a booth at Los Angeles hotspot Teddy’s. However the two were later seen mingling in the crowd and kissing. According to an insider close to Simpson, “Jessica thinks he’s hot! He’s a really nice guy and her family loves him.” Family Blog: Family Man News (Continued) It was actually her Dad, Joe who got Jess and Tony together. A source recently revealed to the New York Post, “Joe and Tony have been friendly for a while. Joe is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and Tony has always had a crush on her – he even said on his website about a year ago that it would be his dream to date her.” So when Tony Romo found out his dream girl was recording an album in Dallas, he asked Daddy Joe if he could get her number and ask her out. Since then the two have been having a real down-home romance. Tony spent Thanksgiving with Jessica and her family, going out to dinner after the big game and then visiting with Jessica’s grandparents in Waco the next day. Jessica Simpson even hired a private jet to arrange a date with Tony after she finished shooting a Disney Special in Florida! Family Blog: Family Man News (Continued) But according to a recent interview with Us Weekly, Jess is still pining away for ex-hubby Nick Lachey. A Simpson pal tells the magazine, “there are definitely parts of her that regret breaking up with Nick now.” The magazine also reports that Simpson spent what would have been her 5th wedding anniversary with Nick Lachey, looking at photo albums of the former famous “Newlyweds.” Jessica Simpson filed for divorce from Lachey in December of 2005 citing “irreconcilable differences.” Since their marriage ended, Lachey has been involved with television personality Vanessa Minnillo while Jess has gone from one brief failed relationship to the next with the likes of John Mayer, Maroon 5 poster boy Adam Levine and Orlando Bloom to name a few. In a recent appearance on “The View,” Jessica Simpson said she is looking for a family man and it looks like she may have found one in Tony Romo. When your Dad sets you up, that’s a pretty good sign that the guy is down with the fam. Family Blog Comment: Family blog very much doubts if Jessica stays for long with this new 'family man' of hers too. "There are definitely parts of her that regret breaking up with Nick now." - doesn't that say more than enough for the actress? We are not with one that we are with at the moment a 100 percent of it. We search for a future security in her/him and hence loose the wo/man that right now is there in front of us. In fact we start calculating future equations with her/him and, so, loose all the passion of being with her/him at the moment. What is shown by our enthusiasm is in fact an emotional thrill that goes stale sooner than later...later if not sooner! Why on earth should we think of a future family when interacting with someone in the very present? If we do, we marry; and then we divorce...and then..."there are definitely parts of her that regret breaking up with Nick now."
