Whirlwind Family Reunion for Britney Spears:
October 8, 2007
It was complete chaos surrounding Britney Spears and her younger sister, Jamie Lynn. The Spears sisters' get-together created a paparazzi frenzy and left Jamie Lynn in a full screaming match with a stranger.
The drama began when a woman began screaming at the fallen pop star while she and her younger sister were on their way into a sushi restaurant in swanky Bel Air.
"Nobody wants you here...you're making the neighborhood unsafe," yelled the woman. But Jamie Lynn stood up for her sister, telling the woman she could move out if she wasn't happy. The exchange turned physical when the woman put her hands on Jamie Lynn. But it was the crowd of paparazzi that became protective, telling the woman to keep her hands off.
The ever-present photographers were also at the center of another scary confrontation over the weekend. After screaming at shutterbugs to leave Britney alone, a woman hurled a full cup of hot coffee at a pack of photogs. The argument quickly escalated into an all-out brawl with the woman kicking and slapping one of the photographers.
The disputes interrupted a family reunion for Britney, who also had her first visit with her two little boys since losing custody.
In addition to her sister, Britney's estranged mother, Lynne Spears flew into Los Angeles from Louisiana to support her downward spiraling daughter.
Masses of photographers captured almost every moment of the Spears girls' time out...even snapping photos and helping Britney place an order at a Taco Bell drive through because the starlet just would not open her window.
The sisters seemed to be all smiles, even when Britney's car got stuck after hitting a curb. It wasn't the only car trouble for the pop tart, as Britney also suffered a flat tire, which the paparazzi on hand helped the starlet fix. An appreciative Britney stood and watched along with her little dog, even posing for pictures with the photographers afterwards.
Family Blog Comment:
Family reunion with her sister and mother is only an indicative of the support, both moral and social, that Britney is getting from her family in the controversy that springs from her lifestyle adopted by her vis-à-vis her life - the way she lives it.
The woman who got mad at her must be either feeling insecure vis-à-vis Britney's impact on the psyches of her own family members; or getting plain jealous of the free life Britney has managed to live on her own terms, which the poor woman can never even dream of.
My question as the perpetrator of the family blog is if Britney has the right to live the way she is living or she doesn't have it; also if her family has the right to support her in her ventures or not.
We are living in a democratic society, aren't we?
