A "smoking gun" that ties OPEC to the current financial crisis in America.
In response to the economic crises rippling across America, celebrated Freedom Watch attorney Larry Klayman today announced plans to hold a news conference on Oct. 23 in Vienna, Austria at the headquarters of what he calls the "conspiratorial roots" of the current worldwide financial disaster -- OPEC.
There in front of OPEC headquarters, Klayman plans to hold up a gas pump nozzle he calls a "smoking gun" that ties OPEC to the current financial crisis in America.
Following the 10 AM news conference, Klayman will then personally serve the organization with an amended lawsuit filed in the Southern District Court of Florida in Miami, charging it with using oil as a "terrorist weapon" against the U.S. economy.
TransMedia Group, the public relations firm in Boca Raton ( http://www.transmediagroup.com ) is organizing the news conference on behalf of Freedom Watch http://www.freedomwatchusa.org , the public interest group founded by Klayman, who is also the founder of Judicial Watch, known for its celebrated lawsuit against the Clinton Administration during the height of scandals involving then President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton. Freedom Watch is located at 601 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 900S, Washington, DC 20004.
According to Klayman, "As oil prices recently dropped a bit, OPEC announced on September 10 that it would cut production to increase the price of oil to previous high levels.
"Coupled with the recent worldwide financial crisis, the worst since the Great Depression, OPEC's anticompetitive actions were and are designed to destroy Western economies and drive them into a second Great Depression," Klayman said.
TransMedia Group's founder and CEO Tom Madden said the PR firm was looking for something that would heighten the media event at OPEC headquarters when the idea struck to bring a gas pump nozzle to symbolize "a smoking gun."
"It's almost like OPEC has held up America with these gas pump nozzles and made off with billions, setting the stage for current economic crisis we now face," Madden said.
