The Game of Life is new, but still has twists and turns:
October 10, 2007 by PATTI MARTIN
Life has always been about making choices: Do you go straight to college after high school or go backpacking in Europe for a year? Do you take a low-paying internship or a high-paying dead-end job? Do you take the family vacation in Orlando, Fla., Yellowstone National Park or somewhere else?
In Hasbro's new The Game of Life Twists & Turns edition, players can choose between thousands of possible ways to live their life because, after all, it is their life.
In the newest edition of Life, players choose among four different nonlinear paths while pursuing their life goals: Live It (adventure track), Love It (family track), Learn It (education track) and Earn It (career track). Players easily can move between the different paths when they want to try something new.
Why?
In this version of the game, the winner is no longer the person who accumulates the most money but rather the one who earns the most "Life Points," which is a combination of wealth and life experiences. In addition, players determine the length of the game by selecting the number of "years" (or turns) that will be included in the game.
Recommended for players 9 years and older. The Twists & Turns edition retails for $34.99.
News Blog Comment:
The question of choosing between thousands of possible ways to live life only arises when there is no passion guiding you taking spontaneous steps on each and every turn of it.
The real game of life is not to be played to win, but to be played for the love of it.
When passion is the guide, the moves are never impulsive; they are just spontaneous. You don't have to choose among Live It (adventure track), Love It (family track), Learn It (education track) or Earn It (career track) then.
And the version of this game that we keep playing every moment in reality is always the latest one, its twists and turns being always the latest ones.
Why spend $34.99 when the real version is every moment available for free!
We only need learning how to live with suspense at every turn of life cool.
And believe me, the real game is much more interesting than any simulated version whatsoever.
