Obama visits Oakland and talks international-politics:

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama is in Oakland today talking international politics.
Obama says it's critical for the Southeast Asian nation to be "a constructive ally" in fighting al-Qaida.
He declined to criticize the Bush administration's policies on Pakistan, and expressed sympathy for the plight of Pakistan's president, who faces a growing militant backlash in his Muslim country.
The Illinois Senator was scheduled to go to work this morning with home health care worker Pauline Beck as part of a program by the Service Employees International Union called "Walk a Day in My Shoes."
Politics News Blog Comment: In Bertolt Brecht's words: 'Sitting on their cozy thrones, and from there issuing commandments to rule the world; The rulers always kept telling us how difficult it was to rule for them, and it was not every Tom, Dick, or Harry's job to do so!'
They fooled us a lot!
