'George and Martha' deal with relationship issues:

Puppeteers Linda Carson and Terry Judd manipulate the 3-foot-tall hippo puppets in the Pittsburgh International Children's Theater production of "Martha and George."
Pittsburgh International Children's Theater is wrapping up its 38th season with the stage version of a well-loved children's book series that gives kids valuable lessons on how to keep friends, producers say.
"George and Martha" -- which kicks off on Sunday at the Byham Theater, Downtown, and continues with six more performances throughout the Pittsburgh area -- follows the many stories of two hippos who have different personalities but are best friends. The 50-minute play, produced by the Carousel Players theater company in St. Catharines, Ontario, features about 30 small skits, some less than a minute long, that come from the series of more than a half-dozen "George and Martha" books by author James Marshall.
The common theme with "George and Martha" -- a play designed mostly for kids ages 3 to 7 -- is how the hippos solve problems by being considerate of each other's feelings. It's a meaningful and entertaining lesson for kids, says Linda Carson of Ottawa, Canada. She is the playwright and one of the two puppeteers that present the show onstage.
"(The hippos) are the best of friends ... but they have lots of little conflicts, and get on each other's nerves," Carson says. "It shows that you need to work at a relationship. ... George and Martha are a reflection that we're not perfect, that we all make mistakes with relationships and friendships."

Relationship Blog: George and Martha - Relationship Issues
Relationship issues are endless, since relationship is as complex a thing as life itself is.
Relationship bothers about productivity, and not about creativity.
A relationship, being predictable, is always productive and never creative.
It lacks the glow of spark that only an interaction, without any kind of relationship in between the two, can provide.
Set pattern of interaction is no interaction; rather it is a mechanical repetition of the standard protocol that the relationship has dictated for you to follow.
Relationship is an interaction without any soul within.
It's dead.
It's dull.
BUT IT IS UTILE!
It has a great utility in disciplining and comforting the ways of life!
But then, are the ways of life, i.e., the way we live, genuine?
At best what we can do is what George and Martha are doing in order to be in relation with each other!
Or, can we do something more basic with the way we live and relate to others?
