Riva had history of job, drug, relationship problems:
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Peter Riva's life began to unravel two years ago over drugs and a troubled relationship.
On Monday night, his life came to a tumultuous end after, police say, he tried to run over his ex-girlfriend, Lisa M. Rose, and her companion outside Totowa Municipal Court, then shot pursuing Totowa Patrolman John Sole. The injured officer fired back, fatally wounding Riva when he refused to put down his gun.
The chaos started Monday night after a Municipal Court judge tossed out a harassment complaint that Riva -- a former patrolman and probation officer -- filed against Rose, of Englewood. He alleged that she had called and threatened, "You are dead. You are going down.''

Psychosexual disorders and relationship problems are not often assessed or treated in people with psychoses. 2 studies have been carried out, however, suggesting that there is a need to provide services for this vulnerable group of people.
The first study surveyed 39 men and 17 women who had been admitted to the acute psychiatric wards of an inner London psychiatric unit. The patients were seen within 7 days of their admission, and were interviewed about existing sexual and relationship problems.
Relationship Blog Comment: Can we keep the crisscross of relationships in our life limited to where it actually belongs, i.e., only up to the routine functioning of life and not beyond that?
What lies beyond the routine functioning of life?
Human interaction!
Unconditional human interaction, not limited by relationship!
Not for a motif!
Just for the heck of it!
Relationship has a past as well as a future. Interaction has neither.
So, without any past and without any future of such a total interaction!
But why!
Because that is what gives life its meaning that we call love and passion for it!
This is what the joy of life is.
Without pure human interaction, all the thrill and excitement of a relationship, sooner or later, turn into tensions and worries of relationship problems always, later if not sooner.
When joy is, peace comes along.
Also come power and passion for it!
Earth turns heaven, and life turns a pleasure trip into it.
