Volunteer Management
Martin J Cowling

When volunteers are hard to find and work for free - why would their managers sabotage their work?

This is one of the issues under focus from renowned international speaker Martin J Cowling at a workshop being offered by Volunteer Nelson in March.

Volunteer Nelson Manager Jude McNabb says Martin Cowling is one of Australia's leading consultants on volunteer management.

"Martin works regularly with individuals and organisations in the US, UK and Australia on areas connected with not for profit groups and effective volunteer management," she said. "He's a dynamic speaker with a wonderful supply of real life stories."

Martin will be presenting two topics - sabotage and volunteer motivation.

"He believes that understanding what drives volunteers is the key to building a lasting program or driving volunteers away," Ms McNabb said. "He'll also tell us about the five lethal factors volunteer managers unitentionally use, to harm their programmes."

The workshop is on Monday 17 March from 10.00 am 4.30 pm; it costs $80 and will be held at Nick Smith's rooms in Waimea Road. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. Find out more from Volunteer Nelson, 03 546 7681 or nvc[at]ts.co.nz

Volunteer Management
The Spirit of Volunteering

Volunteer management is the biggest of them all!

I plan to form a homogeneous group of 1000 enthusiastic and thinking people, who still are left with some fire within, from all the nationalities of the world - homogeneous in the sense that they agree to the world-view deciphered in this website - who will take up the charge of operating the said techno-scientific project in their area under their active and responsible leadership in order to alleviate the human suffering in the human body and in the human mind.

Operating the project technically is not going to be an easy job in itself; so I will need training these volunteer-leaders in the complex operating procedure as well, once the project comes up successful.

The project is in the final stages of testing (held up only for the testing-money requirement that is a pretty huge sum as such!), and should come up operative before 1000 volunteers assemble and make a homogeneous group together.

If you think you are one of those 1000 leaders of the new world order, just fill the form below and submit it now.

I will contact you then, and we will try to know each other as well as one another (all 1000!) better and closer.

Come; let's, at least, try to change the life and let's, at least, try to change the world - together - for one and for all!

Even trying is its own fun in itself!
